Amy Jackson Biography
Amy Jackson is born to Alan and Marguerita Jackson in Isle of Man and she also has an elder sister Alicia. She attended St. Edward’s College and studied English, English Literature, Philosophy and Ethics. In the year 2008, Amy won the Miss Teen World competition and later on she went on to win Miss Teen Liverpool. It was during one of her modeling assignments that she won a modeling contract that provided her with US$20,000 scholarship.
Early Career
Amy Jackson went on with her modeling contract with Boss Model Management and that is how she got her first Tamil movie debut at the age of 17, in Madrasapattinam that paired Arya opposite her and she was able to provide some really strong performances that got her positive response from the audiences. Director A.L. Vijay had spotted this pretty model at the Miss England website and immediately decided to cast her in his film. Amy started shooting for the film within a month of being discovered by the director. The movie was a commercial success and Amy Jackson impressed the South Indian audiences with her emotional performance on screen. The actress later said that her career in films had begun in an abrupt manner and landing a South Indian film for her was quite unexpected. She was nominated for Best Debut Actor Female for Vijay Awards.

After the super success of Madrasapattinam, Amy Jackson will now be seen in Bollywood movie Ek Deewana Tha opposite Prateik Babbar. The movie will release on 13 January 2012 and it is remake of Tamil movie Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa but with a different climax. Amy Jackson will portray the role of Jessie who belongs to orthodox Malayali Christian family. The role, for which Amy has worked so hard taking dance and yoga lessons, will portray her in the role of an Asian girl. This will be the first Bollywood movie for Amy Jackson.

After Ek Deewana Tha Amy Jackson will be seen in Thaandavam which is an action Tamil movie featuring Vikram and Anushka Shetty as well.
