Anu Agarwal is a Punjabi born in New Delhi on 11th January 1969.She grew up in Chennai. She studied Psychology at the Delhi University and earned a gold medal.

She met with a car accident that saw her out of action for a while as she focused on getting better.

She dated actor Saif Ali Khan.

Anu Agarwal’s Movies

Anu Agarwal made her debut in Mahesh Bhatt’s Aashiqui (1990) with new comer Rahul Roy. The movie became an instant hit. Her next two movies Ghazab Tamasha (1992) and Khal-Nayika (1993) failed to recreate the magic of Aashiqui.

She worked in the Tamil hit Thiruda Thiruda (1993) by Mani Rathnam. She appeared in a short film by Mani Kaul called The Cloud Door which was based on an erotic theme. It kicked up a controversy and was not screened again.

She was seen in Janam Kundali (1995) and Return of Jewel Thief (1996) after which she stepped out of the spot light.
